Acheson Land Development
Project Type: Commercial, Office, and CivicThe Genesis Land Development Corporation is working with Williams to prepare a 49.2 ha parcel of land west of Edmonton for new industrial and commercial development.
Asphalt Concrete Overlays Program
Project Type: GovernmentThis project involved overlaying approximately 5,000 tonnes of asphalt concrete pavement within Red Deer County. A section of the overlays was undertaken in the busy Gasoline Alley industrial subdivision area near the city of Red Deer. The County of Red Deer required the expertise to identify areas that required deep strengthening within their road network. The areas of importance were the industrial subdivisions. The heavy truck traffic that is generated shortens the life of a roadway if it was not designed for the heavy truck traffic.
Burnt Lake Intersection Upgrades
Project Type: GovernmentWilliams Engineering Canada Inc. undertook detailed design and construction management for the realignment of Bunt Lake Trail and Poplar Ridge Road. The north-south legs of the Burnt Lake Trail were off-set by 5 m (east to west). This was becoming a serious concern due to increased traffic associated with a rise in industrial and commercial usage in the area. Williams Engineering redesigned the intersection to accommodate heavy truck traffic and improve the flow of vehicles through the Burnt Lake Trail Industrial Park.
Highway 20 & Aspelund Road Delineation Illumination
Project Type: GovernmentWilliams Engineering Canada has been providing Lacombe County with general engineering services for the design, tendering, contract administration, and construction services of delineation illumination at the intersection of Highway 20 and Aspelund Road.
McLevin Welding
Project Type: Commercial, Office, and CivicAs part of the site design, a storm pond was designed adjacent to the McLevin building and parking area. The pond was designed to catch and hold stormwater runoff from the site. The site will be landscaped as an aesthetic feature of the site but will also act as fire water storage for an adjacent fire hydrant.
