» Project Details

Sirri Island, Iran, one of many small islands in the Persian Gulf, was an oil platform destroyed by American military forces during Operation Praying Mantis in 1988.

After the cessation of hostilities between Iran and the West, our firm was contracted to help rebuild the processing support facilities at this important petroleum plant. This project presented special challenges: building materials and processes had to be adapted to an extremely hot climate and the project had to be managed from the other side of the world. The buildings were designed to be blast proof and to withstand the harsh climate. Sirri Island is part of a series of international projects successfully completed by our firm.
