Williams Engineering specializes in designing and building surface and underground mining infrastructure, including remote or arctic mines. We design everything from site camps, office buildings, and maintenance facilities, to comprehensive support facilities like power plants and areas dedicated to explosives production. Our industrial division includes engineering design support to government, aviation and mining clients. Williams was part of the team of experts hired by the City of Yellowknife to conduct a feasibility study for the use of warm groundwater for building heating. The groundwater is in the process of filling up the soon to be decommissioned Con Mine, one of the gold mines that put Yellowknife on the map.
