Hair Today, Gone Tomorrow In Support of the Stollery Children's Hospital

Williams Engineering and it's staff are strong proponents in supporting our communities through volunteer activities, donations, and sponsorships.

We believe that our personal commitment to helping the communities we live, work, and play in is crucial for our present and future generations.

The Stollery Children's Hospital Foundation is dedicated to enhancing health services for children by raising money to support their programs that promote health, prevent diseases, and treat illnesses. Stephanie Spetter is part of the Williams Engineering family and is an advocate for the Stollery Children's Hospital Pediatric Oncology Department. This February Stephanie participated in Hair Massacure of Edmonton, an event that has been held for the last eight years and splits the donations they raise between the Stollery Children's Hospital Foundation and Make-A-Wish Northern Alberta.

Stephanie has always had a soft spot in her heart for kids. She says, "I had more hair than I knew what to do with, so I figured I should give it to kids who have lost their hair to cancer." Not only did Stephanie shave her head for the cause, she also raised a total of $2,100. A person who is always thinking of others, Stephanie humbly jokes about her achievement, "This is just something I really wanted it do. Plus now I cut a good 15 minutes off of my shower time and my time getting ready in the morning!"

Williams Engineering is enthusiastic about the unique ways our staff and their families are giving back to the community.
